La promotion de la diversité dans les entreprises fait l’objet de débats importants, certains s’y opposant, affirmant que les efforts de promotion de la diversité sont contreproductifs. On est allé jusqu’à parler de ‘backlash’ c’est-à-dire retour de baton, ou encore de ‘fatigue’ à l’égard de la diversité. Mais quels sont au juste les effets du climat diversité ? C’est à cette question que nous avons tenté de répondre dans deux articles publiés en 2021, l’un dans la revue European Management Review, l’autre dans la Revue de Gestion des Ressources Humaines, avec notre co-autrice, Gaelle Cachat-Rosset, de l’Université Laval à Québec. On observe des effets positifs sur la satisfaction, l’engagement, la performance dans le poste, la perception d’inclusion, sur l’identification à l’organisation.
Nous avons conduit une enquête auprès de 1574 personnes, salariées, en France, entre le 1er avril et le 10 mai, soit en plein confinement, en collaboration avec Gaelle Cachat Rosset et Tania Saba, de l’Université de Montréal, et Josianne Marsan, de l’Université Laval. Nous avons cherché à comprendre les facteurs les plus à même d’influencer l’ajustement au télétravail, que l’on pourrait traduire par le sentiment d’être productif en qualité et en qualité, et d’être satisfait par l’expérience du télétravail, dans ce contexte très tendu.
